Biography:
Born in 1945 in Donaueschingen Germany. He first studied law and Romance languages and later trained in visual arts in Freiburg and at the Karlsruhe Academy of Arts. Since the late 1960s he has worked with themes of history mythology memory the national trauma of the Holocaust and the cyclical nature of civilizations.
