Biography:

Born in the village of Abai, Bazar-Keles District, South Kazakhstan Region. In 1963 he graduated from the P. P. Benkov Art College in Tashkent. His works are held in private collections in Kazakhstan, the United Kingdom, France, Japan, and other countries. The artist belongs to the generation of the 1960s, which made a significant contribution to the development of Kazakhstan’s fine art school. In 1967 he graduated from the Tashkent State Theatrical and Art Institute named after A. N. Ostrovsky, Department of Monumental, Decorative, and Architectural Sculpture. In 1969 he became a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. His works are housed in the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow and the A. Kasteev State Museum of Arts in Almaty.
