Biography:
(1930, Lebyazhye – 1982, Almaty) Sidorkin was born in Russia and received his art education in Kazan, Riga, and at the Leningrad I. E. Repin Institute, where he met his future wife and comrade, the Kazakh artist Gulfairus Ismailova. After the artists settled in Almaty in 1957, Sidorkin's work began to develop in dialogue with Kazakh cultural heritage.
